restoration project
I restored this image using Serif Photo (comp. to Photoshop). I have done this quite a bit recently and decided to put an example of my work on the blog. I love creating new memories but there is something special about restoring an image that already means so much to someone. The original image was roughly 5×7. I scanned the original photo using a hi-res scanner (Epson) then restored and cropped the image to be printed at 11×14 and it looks great! If you have an image you would like restored, please contact me at rdfairphoto@yahoo.com.
Heather
This piece is an exploration into contrast. I’ve never really been into the whole “blown out skin as a style” but wanted to try something new so thought I would do my own take on it. After some sketches and some brief planning with Heather, we decided on a concept and wardrobe. This was my favorite pose.
Senior Portrait
This is a senior portrait I did recently. I played around with blurring at varying degrees. I like the final product.
Here are some pics from my recent walk in the snow. It was so lovely. I’m glad we actually got some snow this year. I love it and it is so rare for this area especially in recent years. I shot all these digitally with the D300 and a 24-85 lens. Quite a few of them have been converted to black and white .
Baby Portrait
Eva is only 3 months so we had a hard time posing her but she managed to hold herself up for a few minutes while on her tummy and I snapped some great shots.
